You could go to the History Channel's "This Day in History" here http://www.history.com/tdih.do and search yourself for some stuff. Wikipedia has a great "List of historical anniversaries" here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_his... and you could click on any date you wish and see a list of MANY events. There are also some great links to the stuff you're looking for at the bottom of the wikipedia page. I hope this helps you research on your own.
