does it also include events that occured in individual countries that did not affect the entire world?
Does world history just include events and/or changes that affected the world as a whole or . . .?the grand theater
it includes both. The name "World" history is misleading because it really has to do with anything that goes on in the world in the past that had significance. But things that affect several countries or more are more common and documented.
Does world history just include events and/or changes that affected the world as a whole or . . .?soap opera opera theater
It includes both. Basically, world history is everything that happened, everywhere - whether it affected the rest of the world or not. But don't forget, many occurrances that you think only affected one country actually did affect the entire world. It depends on how you look at it. =)
In June 28, 1914 Archduke Franz-Ferdinand heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne was assignated by a small group of Serbian nationalists known as the Black Hand. This single event has been labled by many historians as the beginning of WW1. To understand what lead to this you would need to understand a lot of eastern European history. There are no events in any one country that are not interconnected to other events in a another country. It is all world history. That is what makes studing history fasinating. It is not all dates and facts it is the connections the actions and reactions of people in history
Usually smaller countries without a lot of earth-shaking events keep track of their own histories.
